The Finance Ministry meets at 7:00 PM on the second Monday or Tuesday of the month, September through January with additional meetings as needed.

Duties of the Finance Ministry

  • Budget Administration
    • Prepare a draft budget for each fiscal year
    • Submit drafted budget to the Congregation Council for approval and/or revision
    • Present the proposed budget at the annual Congregation Meeting prior to the beginning of the fiscal year for congregation approval
  • Manage all financial affairs of the congregation to ensure that they are being conducted efficiently, which includes:
    • Prompt payment of all financial obligations of the church
    • Forwarding of benevolence monies to the synod treasurer
    • Overseeing the congregation’s investments, and insurance program
    • Providing for annual audits of the accounts of the:
      • Treasurer
      • Financial secretary
      • Schools and organizations within the congregation
